MMCD question

K, maybe I am just dumb here, but aren't you supposed to be able to pull codes with it?? If so, how?!?!? I don't see anywhere on there where I could do it.

When you first access the MMCd program on the palm, and you see the screen that says "NEW" on the bottom left like this.

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

Tap on the MMCd tab in the top left to get the options drop down box.

Then tap on the "test" tab in the drop down to open the page where you can read DTC's and test the fuel pump etc etc. Tap "READ" to pull the codes. Then tap "ERASE" to clear them.

Mine doesn't have a MODE menu in the drop down menu. Just Log and Options nothing else. Under Log, I get Rename Log, Delete Log, and Truncate Log.

I am using Ver. 1.5d

I got a ? I've been playing around with this part of MMCD. If there is nothing in active, then it means I'm fine? Cause when I pull read, it shows it in the stored section. I tried erasing, and they are still there.

You may have to unhook the negitave terminal on the battery for 30 seconds or so to clear the memory in the ECU to erase the saved codes. I have pulled codes from my car but never saw any stored codes only active codes that could be cleared by the logger. Maybe the stored code means the malfunction is still happening and has not been fixed making it not eraseable until the problem is fixed??

One other possibility, because you never know anymore, is that your running a '90 ECU. They are missing the code in the datalogger routines to clear the faults when they receive a "0xCA" command byte.
