MMCD, no connectivity

Ive been looking around for days for an answer to my problem but no threads seem to have it or explain it fully

Recently bought an Palm IIIxe and serial wires, plugs in fine but my friend said it missing the hotplug wire that plugs into the fusebox (dude i bought it from says it worked for him) once i plug it all up, it doesnt read or scoll any numbers.
Can plug it into USb on my computer but my computer dont pick up anything in the usb? is the Palm itself broken, i mean it turns on and runs. but i go into MMCd, then click MMcd in the corner pops down some options and in one of them theres a read button. I click it and it says ECU comm error..

whats going on with it cant just be the wire if i plug it into my computer and it dont read anything either?

i had the same problem with mine, it was the cable that plugged into the obd port, used my friends and it worked fine. you dont need to plug anything into the fusebox that i know of.

huh, my buddy that does DSM says theres a hotwire to plug in... but his is obd2..

i have 3 wires into the connector all in the right spot topleft corner (#1) is the data, and the 2 grounds in the opposite corner.. cut the loom back and the dont short themselves out????? im stumped.

HUH,.,. i mean even when i plug the male and female serial cables up and plug into obd..

ive even highlighted the TPS(my guess is throttle positioning sensor) and doesnt scroll when i step on the gas or brake no numbers, i do unpause it also.. i go into the options and click READ box and comes back ECU comm ERROR???

and i know theres no way to buy a wire< could it be the cradle or connecting hole in the palm itself>?

ive plug the usb/palm into 3 diff computers and none picked up that something was connected in the USB port either?

how was the aldl to serial cable for the palm made? I can make one for you if you'd like pm me. I've made a dozen of them for members, and sold them for a cheap price.

BTW the first palm sync cable I had was bad, and I had to buy a palm cradle for it. Although if you can connect to your pc, and its not he sync cable, its the aldl serial cable.
