Mitsubishi Eclipse GT: Putting a 2000 MT Into a 2002 AT

I was wondering if I have both vehicles, is this project going to work? If so, how much is it going to cost if I am doing the work myself and what all will I need as far as parts go? How will the ECU work if I do this? Could I just swap them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you had both vehicles then I'd think you wouldn't have to much into the swap at all
