As part of a recent driveshaft rebuild, I ordered 3 transfer case yoke recall kits to "commandeer" the U-joints.
I sprayed the U joint caps and snap rings (C clips) with carb cleaner to get the paint off and I found that two out of three yokes did not have the same size snap rings holding them in place:
Mitsubishi colors their snap rings (Blue, Red, Brass, Silver) to visually show the difference sizes. Snap rings are suppose to be the same size on either side to keep the U joint centered inside of the yoke. Mismatching snap rings can cause vibrations in your driveshaft.
This is just a reminder to everyone to always double check assembly, even from the factory.
