I feel your pain! Should be almost twice as fast taking out everything and putting it back, to look on the bright side :)
 
Yeah, I started hysterically laughing and crying at the same time. I know which u joint it came from, the one connecting the xcase yoke to the driveshaft. I'm gonna try to just replace it without taking anything off the car using a mini sledge and socket. Conveniently I have an extra brand new Moog u joint.
