Ok, so im missing in cylinder 3. Had the car running and was pulling off the plug wires one at a time and when I pulled of #3, there was no difference. I changed the wires and that did nothing. Then I changed the coil pack and that didnt help. What else is the in the ignition system that could make spark weak to only one cylinder ?

How do you know its cylinder 3 that is missing. Is is missing or does not fire at all?

The compression in that cylinder is 160. Is that bad enough to cause that ? But im pretty sure it has something to do with the ingnition because thats the only cylinder thats getting weak spark. Any ideas. Is there a way to check the ignition control module ?

I know its cylinder 3 because when I pull the plugs while the cars running, when I pull number 3, nothing changes, it doesnt get worse or anything. And when I pull the other plugs, the engine allmost dies.

I changed my plugs and wires and that didnt help. How exactly would you check the ignition module, because I could have my dad do it.

ok, I did some reading and if the power transistor was goin bad, would that effect two cylinders ? Im only missing in one cylinder.

a bad power transistor would also make it miss on one cylinder.. i had that problem with my 91 gs and i also thought that it would make 2 cyl miss but when i changed it, all was good..

also may want to check you fuel filter.. low fuel pressure could cause a miss due to not enough pressure to open the injectors

ok, so im gonna try to test the power transistor today, hopefully thats it.

yea, it sparks but its real weak compared to the others

I know it should not make any differance but swap wires 2&3 at the coil and see if the miss moves to the other cylinder.

allready tries that and it made no difference...

I know it sounds strange but could it be a super week/broke valve spring. at cranking speed for the comp check it closes good enough to get good## but when the engine is running it does not seat? Hence the miss.

ok, so my dad tested the power transistor and it tested fine. But I still think it might be that because what else could it be ?? So this weekend ill take it off my bros eclipse and put it on mine and see if that does it ? What else Is there in the ingnition system that could cause weak spark ? I allready changed the plugs, wires and coil .
