Alright so me and my buddy have been working on his eclipse in the snow all day...
When we get around to doing the spark plugs I figure hey why not run a compression test.

Alrighty so on his 7 bolt block it all looked good. The spark plugs all came out looking normal. Then cylinder 1 we got 135
cylinder 2 we hit 132
cylinder 3 0!!
cylinder 4 0!!

So obviously we had a problem. We tried again and I noticed (with all the plugs removed) that when testing cylinder #3 puffs of smoke would come out of cylinder #4. And when testing cylinder #4 puffs of smoke would come out of cylinder #3. So my guess is something is leaking between those two. I checked his coolant (as sometimes before after running the eclipse we would hear a boiling sound) and it was REALLY low so i filled that up.

From the above stated I am thinking possibly the head is warped or cracked between those two cylinders. Is there any noises I should listen for to confirm this? Maybe its just a gasket problem I am not quite sure?

Lastly what makes this stranger to me. Is that when driving his eclipse it feels fine. No sluggishness and it pulls the same way my talon does and I have clean compression all across. Ideas???

Leakdown test.
If it leaks into the coolant- head gasket/warped head.
Out the intake, bent valves/ valve stem seals on intake side.
Out the exhaust, Bent valves/ valve stem seals on exhaust side. Take it to a machine shop and get them to check and re machine the head if it's warped.
Sounds like you ran it with low coolant and it over heated and warped/cracked the head.

get it checked out and welcome to the jolly world of dsm's and the constant bullshit breakage. LOL

You're on the right track. If the cylinders are leaking between each other enough to not get any reading at all, you probably have a large crack or a piece missing from the head betwen the combustion chambers. Not as likely that it's valves, but it is still possible.

The head gasket leaking / coolant issue may have been first causing some warpage, as mentioned, but you're going to have to pull the head anyways, so a new head gasket is already required. Make sure to check the head for warpage and have it resurfaced as needed.
