1G Missing CAS black top/lid

Hey everyone, quick question.. does the blacktop / black lid CAS from the 94's work without the lid? I know there is no part number for the lid as it should come with the CAS and I've found 2 different sources for a billet aluminum lid replacement. Just wondering if it can work without a lid until I get the aluminum one in.

It will function but there's a much higher chance of ruining it.
What happened to your cover?
Do search here. I remember a thread on their being at least two different styles of cover and you want to get the right one.

Thanks, i've been wanting to switch from a green top to black top on my 1Gina2G so i ordered a remanufactured MD184529 CAS from rockauto and it came without the lid.. They straight up refunded me because of this and told me not to bother sending it back. I tested it with a multimeter following a guide on this site and all looks fine aside from the missing lid.

I'm considering this a lucky scenario as i now have the CAS free of charge and can spend a fraction of my savings on a custom CNC lid replacement

I will hold off on installing it until i have the lid since there is nothing actually wrong with my greentop CAS.
