Black Top CAS help before install

I have read through the few forums on here and also I've read over RRE's write-up on it.. but I still dont understand what I need to do exactly... I get that im plugging in the new harness into the factory wiring and then into the b;ack top cas.. but does that mean when it says to wire in the one wire that my car will no longer use the crank angle sensor? Do I just unplug it completely? I see no actual write-ups on her that have pictures... just everything referring back to a drawing.

The 1g sensor will provide both signals, your crank angle senor will be unplugged.

Assuming your doing a 6 bolt swap in your 2G, follow these instructions. It will give you two options. I ran option one on my car so I don't have to switch around firing order.

Option 3 is to buy a modified crank sensor for the 1G 6 bolt from extreme PSI. They are about $200 and need a BSE kit to install.

You only need to switch the firing order on 95-96 cars or 97-99 if your using a 95-96 ecu

Im doing this on my 98 gsx and keeping my 7 bolt motor. The only reason I'm even doing this is because I read on a post here that its almost damn near impossible to get 5* tdc with my CAS. That the only way to get perfect to almost perfect timing is to get the green or black top CAS and adjust it using a timing light (which I have) and grounding it through Link. So thats what Im doing. And where the hell is the Crank angle sensor ..... I know I sound stupid but I'm asking this question as well because I'm about to install my new gate timing and balance belts and wanna go ahead and do all this from the start. thanks
