wired up my 14" mishimoto fan to the stock harness. in front of the turbo the fan harness had 2 blue positive wires and 2 black negative wires, so i tied the two positive wires together and connected it to the positive of the fan, same with the negatives, and now it doesnt turn on. was that not right...

If you didn't mess with the wiring for A/C and just removed the components (i.e. compressor, belt, lines, etc.) it should still work. The condensor fan turns on when you "turn on" the A/C. You don't have A/C so it won't blow cold air into the car, but the fan should still turn on. Did you try that?

If you want to wire it into the main fan harness, it's just located on the opposite side of the radiator on the passenger side, whereas the condensor fan harness is on the drivers side.

i found it, was tucked back since we havent wired up fans in awhile. just wired it up and testing it now, thanks so much!

Did you try turning on the ac button and see if the fan turned on with the way you wired up the wires ?
I ask because i have a mishimoto fan on the way for my ac fan and wanted to know how it worked out. Thanks.

no because my entire interior is not assembled. i did rewire it however to the other side and it works fine.

Are the 2 blue/black wires from one fan? If so it is a high/low speed setting. Wiring both together should have worked, but if not you may need a fan controller...

i was reading through some posts and stumbled on this because my mishimoto fans arent doing their job, well one isnt.

i got my fans and shroud for my 2g and put them in. i wired up the 2 positive wires to the 1 positive wire provided from mishimoto and the same with the negative ones on the driver's side in front of the turbo. i turn my A/C on and they work, and when the coolant gets to around 215-220 degrees it turns on, i was stoked now to the passenger side.

i did the same thing with the passenger side and i have not gotten it to turn on at all.

am i just being dumb and overlooking something obvious?
