ok i have been having this problem for a while, car runs rough at about 150 rpms changed spark plugs, wires and batery terminals. when i pull number 2 and 3 fuel injectors the car doesnt do anything doesnt sputer or anything. now when i pul 1 and 4 injectors the car sounds like it is falling on its face. any help would be great. timing also looks like it is right on but the misfire is bothering me.

replaced them except the coil pack. the fuel injectors though are causeing some problem. when i disconnect them 2 and 3 cylinders nothing happens the car continues to idle rough still and doesnt sound like it is going die. that is my problem dont have the slightest clue what could be the problem.

i am not to sure if it is running on two, i dont have noid lights is there another way to check if the injectors are getting fuel. this problem has me stumped should i try the injectors that are working i mean cross connect them with the ones that are believed to be bad. and has anyone ever heard of two injectors going bad at the same time?

If you put a piece of hose on the injecter and the other end on your ear you should hear a clicking while it is running.Your problem sounds like it could be the power transister on the coil pack .Is your car throwing a CEL?

not sure how to tell if it is throwing a cel, how do you check? if it is a transistor on the coil pack what does it take to fix it. where do you get them from and what is the normal cost?

CEL or check engine light. Is there a little glowing engine in your dash lights?Have someone crank the engine while you check or spark.

It is most likely your power transistor. If you have a Haynes go to Power Transister Check and replacement. It will tell u exactly how to check it if you want to narrow your problem down before you spend money. You will need a multimeter an AA battery the wrenches to remove the PWR TR and a friend to help you, but it might save you some money. I personally had the same problem with cylinders 1 and 4. I replaced everything from spark plugs to the coil pack one at a time and nothing helping. I replaced the Coil pack, it fixed it for a week then it litterally blew up while i was driving. It is very close to your fuel lines and gets very hot if your PWR TR isnt functonaly properrly. You can get the Power TR and a used coil pack for around 50 dollars in the forums or ebay.

alright well one more question would be where exactly is the power transistor. how close is it to the coil packs. and yes i do have a check engine light on when it was read it said that there was multiple misfires, so we went from there and found out that number 2 and 3 were not firing. what would the reading be on the multimeter?

heres what i found about the location of the P.Transistor on a 2g [post=151528353]click![/post] courtesy of a tech article on here by snowborder714.
