So my car has been garaged fir 2 years due to the fact that I don't have money to fix it, tickets, and college. Now that I graduated I am jobless and carless. I want to fix my car so it is running properly and probably hand it down to my sister because I am thinking about being an officer in the military field.

I.
My turbo is a 20g. I have 720PTE injectors, but since I do not have a tuning program, tuners are telling me to drop it down to anything in the 600 + a SAFC. Can I have an approval on this.

II.
I also bought a fuel pressure regulator(Don't know why, knew it was important). How do I use this?

III.
I have a major grounding problem with my car because every time I try to start it, my fuse blows up. How do I fix this or check what wire it is?

IV.
What else should I purchase or check on to have my car running proper with my new turbo upgrade.

Well good luck going the officer route, what branch you considering, any questions about the marines let me know

I. you should be able to run 750cc's with a s-afc, not a 100% sure, its been awhile for me

II. search

III. cant really answer this closely, check all connections, too many variables

IV. Very broad question, obviously have supporting mods. But honestly from what it sounds like, i think you would be better off selling the 20g and get an evo 16g, you would have money left over to adress other things, maybe maintence. Until you can do everything on the car yourself i would say stick with the 16g.

It all kinda of depends what you want out of the car, if you were just gonna hand it down to your sister, whats the point of wasting the money to add further mods and more power, all that will do is make it break more. You should really research alot more before posting stuff like this, all these answers can be found if you had searched. Good luck with the car and your career choice

650s are the accepted maximum for the SAFC. You will hear people say they have run bigger or they have had problems running just 650s, but anything after that and it is hard to tune because the SAFC isnt a true replacement for your fuel computer. You need DSMLink for anything over 650 to be safe.

If you need to ask these questions you are definitely not ready for any of it. I just finished installing my turbo after weeks of research and asking questions and I still ended up with problems that I hadnt known about. If you arent sure what a FPR does that get to reading because I would consider that pretty common knowledge before moving on to doing something as in-depth as a 20g install.

I would agree that you would be better off trading that out for a 16g, you are going to have really slow spool at high RPMs and probably get beat by someone with a similar street car with a 16g.

1. 680cc is the most you'll want to run with just an SAFC, unless your planning on running e85..

2. There is an adjustment screw on the top of the fuel pressure regulator, in order to set it correctly you must have a liquid filled gauge to set the base fuel pressure. Which for 2g is 43.5psi

3. Which fuse is the one that keeps blowing? The ignition fuse is going to be my guess...

Heres a good thread on finding shorts:

4. What mods do you already have? not sure if your profile is up-to-date

An evo8 ecu is the cheapest way to control that size injectors. You can get one for about $125 and $100 for a logging/reflash cable and software. Less for the entire package than just the ecu to be able to run keydiver or ecmlink.

There is a learning curve but read the evo8 ecu thread to see what it is all about. I think it can be learned by anyone with a will to learn it and the physical install takes less than half an hour.

1. I heard that PTE injectors run bigger than they are listed as.

2.I have the kit for the FPR, but not installed yet

3.It is the ignition fuse. I made the home made grounding kit. I guess that didnt help with my current problem.

4. Those are my current mods. Mostly bolt on. I am upset because I did not study on my upgrade path.
