Its been a long time since I go to a meet - the car was down for over a year - but as of last month its back.

Unfortunately I can't make the end of July meet due to a conflict on that weekend  maybe August?

I kinda like the idea of a group cruise to the beach - down US1 or take 836 over to Key Biscayne (Rickenbacker Causeway). There is car parking right along what used to be called "Hobie Beach" just across to the south of the Miami Marine Stadium. Also there is the public parking area around the public boat ramp just after the Seaquarium bridge.... Plenty of eye candy to look at in both places on either a Saturday OR Sunday. Finally there is parking over at Virginia Key but not sure how much "scenery" there is there.

If everyone brought a small cooler and maybe a sandwhich that would be cool. I can even fit one of my tailgating tents in the car....

One thing, there is always a pretty good police presence on/around Rickenbacker and they are very aggressive ticketing people speeding all around there.

PS: Do people from Broward ever get down to these meets?

Pretty sure they do, seen one or two from Palm Beach.

A key Biscayne meet would be great....we had a supra/Lexus meet there earlier this year and it was great...the problem with this group is people can't be relied on to bring food items and such otherwise a great beach BBQ would be a nice change from the standing around tropical park meet.

Prove me wrong guys... :)

One of these days i'll make it out. still so much work to do on my GSX.

Chicken...nice!

Gst, thanks, it's actually really dirty in that pic, hasnt been washed in like a month and it sits outside!
Yes, it does need a drop, been wanting to drop it since the day I got it 8 years ago LOL. I do enjoy not worrying about curbs, driveways and potholes; i also drove it a TON in the snow when i lived in Philly. Def wouldn't mind droppin it if i found the right setup at a good price but I really dn't wanna spend more $ on it...got bills, grad school and so forth to pay for...need to play the lottery LOL.

Get one of those Tokico shock/spring combos of eBay. Find them cheap and they ride and drop really nice.

Got pulled over by a cop yesterday afternoon just so he could tell me he used to own a DSM and he now has an Evo X... :)

Forgot to add that I had an eibach pro kit, went to put it on, and then my sway bar end links in the front were too rusted to come off. So I needed to cut mine, buy new ones which are not cheap and then install the springs...so i said #### it and sold them.

If anyone has swaybar end links for cheap, then ill get some springs and drop it.

Not me :( Sorry T

hey so i am going to try and make this meet it'll be the first in a while. but i may not get there till 1230-100 cause i have stuff to do in the morning. let's make this meet worth my hour drive please!!!

I forgot to mention, that If/when I can make this meet
again, it will not be with my car. The car drove fine all day
even taking that cruise(which took way too long), no problems.
And I didn't expect any problems despite the fact that it's DSM.

The main reason for this is the shear amount of people on the road
that don't know how to drive(x100 in miami). And the shear amount
of people who drive with no insurance. FL ranks among the top of the
insurance fraud list.
