Metallic Paint In Headlight Housing?

I am looking to take my cheap looking siilver headlight housing out and paint it. I am thinking of buying a black or dark color paint, then lightly spraying a paint that has metalic flakes in there, to give it a sparkling effect? Do you guys think this is an alright idea, or nah just go with black? Thanks

That might be kinda cool lookin..I'm not sure how well you'd be able to see it when its inside the headlight housing and on the car. You could always try doin it to one and test fitting it. Its just paint, you could always go over it again.

I doubt much of it would show through the lenses.

I have two color paint on my car... IS300 pearl charcoal in the door jambs and under trunk, so i was thinkin the other day, i was considering taking apart my supra tail lights and ebay headlights and painting inside them pearl charcoal too. i think it might look nice.

DO NOT PAINT THE REFLECTIVE PARTS FOR THE BEAMS. i did it an ruined a set of headlights. trust me. paint the part that you can take out , not the parts the light refracts off of to shine the light. You will highly regret it if i you do.
