hey guys. bout a week ago, i was warming up my car like i always do. i drove around for a bit and when i came to a complete stop. i heard this metal with metal noise coming from the exhaust manifold area, sounds almost like a little bell type noise it doesnt do it consecutively, it sometimes stops completely. then i take it for a drive come back and it happens again. and it does it mostly when the car is at a stop while its idling. its been doing it ever since. its been getting a little louder since that day. please any help is appreciate it:talon:

Could be a bounch of things. Try making a stethoscope out of some tubing so you can listen to certian parts of the engine. Thats so you can find exactly where its comming from. Find out if its grinding sound or banging or a taping sound.

its really weird man. i REALLY hear it coming from the exhaust manifold. like i said sometimes it stops completely, i take the car out for a drive, i come back and when i come to a complete stop there it goes. my piping is not loose, and there are no loose bolts. it sounds almost like a little bell type of sound, like metal with metal

Maybe the original poster should make a video, or audio clip with this sound so we can hear it. It's really hard to diagnose the problem when we cant see or hear it ourselves.

I was thinking maybe one of the manifold nuts/studs has backed out enough to cause the washer to rattle. The lower ones especially near the PS pump are hard to see. Don't know how loud you're talking about so a washer may be too little for the sound you're looking for.

Idk but my clutch sometimes makes a little noise when i disengage it???? kinda sounds metallic but i just need to adjust mastr cylinder. it is a 5sp. Do u have a 6 puck or something chattery
