metal to metal sound from driver side

K. Here is what happened. I replaced the driver side half shaft. The boot on the female end ripped. Now while driving foward I hear a clicking metal to metal sound. If im stationary and turn the wheels I don't hear it only when driving foward or backwards . Any ideas or suggestions? ???? I removed the abs magnet as the sensor was shot. But no change in the sound

check your wheel bearings. i get a little click when i turn all the way to the right but goes away when i straighten out.

I suggest checking your ball joints and tie rod ends.

Thx for the input. Gonna get it up on 4 jackstands this weekend and see if I can pinpoint the issue

Remember with the tierods to check them with the full weight of the car on them as well as lifted off the ground.
