I had an exhaust shop tap one of my runners for an egt probe. Problem is they didn't clean all the metal flakes out. :toobad: What would be the best way to do this? Would the exhaust pressure from installing the manifold (just the manifold, no turbo) and turning the car over a couple times blow all the flakes out? Or should I blow some compressed air through it?

In my opinion, i dont see any major concern with tiny metal flakes in the exhaust system , i doubt it will damage the blades on the turbo and or damage the o2 sensor, but if you must i would just unplug the coil or whatever and turn it over a couple of times , should be enough the get the flakes past the turbo , my 2 cents

Doesnt anyone know that most people tap for an EGT while idling so the exhaust will just push the flakes out as its drilled? Turbo on and everything.

Well I didn't know that. But now I do. :thumb:
