Hi there,

I got some PTE 880CC injectors used off of a forum for $100 shipped. Seemed like a good deal to me.

I got them and I noticed that one of the plastic tips are missing and one injector appears to have melted plastic. The guy I bought them off of said they were fine and he ran an E85 tune with them.

Should I be really concerned with this damage?

I wouldnt be concerned as long as it doesn't leak. And as for the tip, I have ran some that were missing the tips and they seemed to work fine. I think it just makes the spray pattern better.

I am really debating just reselling and getting a brand new set.

Where can I get these flow tested? How much does it cost?

There are many places to send them to get them tested. You can check with some local shops to see if they do it, or google this topic and see where a close shop that does this is. Its always a good idea to have your injectors tested and cleaned so they can properly work.
