ok so i started my car the other day and it was running like crap, long story short I found that i have no spark on cyl one and four.

Im running MSII full standalone and i already replaced the coil (i had an extra sitting here) and that didint fix it

both the blue lights are flashing on the ms unit and i can see RPM on the dash, I have reloaded my MSQ file as well ass loaded an older MSQ and all no fix.

Any ideas??

How do you know you have no spark?

Id say that one of the coil driver (in the MS) is bad then. I belive they pair like that.

Whats your MS set up as in Tuner studio? IE how many squirts per cycle ets.. is all that setup correctly?

Cause when I check for spark there is none there.

Settings in MT haven't changed its set up for 420a 2 squirts don't remember all of it off the top of my head but the tune didint change at all it just started running like ish. And since I have loaded other msq files as well as started a whole new project so it would update the firmware.

Ok, well then sounds like a HW issue. if youve gone back to a known good MSQ and firmware, and still same issue, then i think something may have died on MS. time to talk to Symtech :(

That's kinda what I was afraid of :/.

BUT! I'm not 100% sure if I did the firm wear update right Basicly all I did was start a new project and load my msq into it. I didint update the boot loader tho. Is that the right way to update the firmware?

that dosent sound like a firmware update at all. to do firm ware, you really need to do the boot loader, / black screen Jazz. Opening a new project, and importing your MSQ may have gotten you no change. have you gone back to the old project? you may have selected the wrong Firmware when starting the new project thinking it was updated
