I just installed Megan springs and KYB GR-2's in the rear and they just don't look right for some reason. I've installed megan springs on other cars before but they look way compressed for some reason. Is this right?

They absolutly don't look right. I suspect that they are not the right one for your car. Check with the vendor and make sure you have the right springs. Don't drive it like this because it will bottom out very easily.

These are the ones that I ordered. There still is some play in them as I bounced the rear end up/down a bit but still they just don't look right (too compressed on the top end). I will not be driving on them for several months yet however...

The link refers to a 1G part#. Is the the car you install them a 1G? And even if it is a 1G you should still contact the vendor and show them how they look. I have not installed MR springs but I never encountered a spring that gets half of it fully compressed like that. I also noticed that the car did not drop that much as compared to stock hight even though it says 2" drop in the part description. Mistakes do happen and you should check if it is the correct part with vendor.

That is normal for the rear springs to look like that on a 1g, I just installled my new kyb gr-2 shocks with new progress technology springs and it looks the same & rides great, btw did you cut your bump stop to the specific size? Here is a pic of a laser on turbomagazine

I am really astonished to see those pics! I have recently installed my eibach pro-kit, which are progressive springs, and only the firt 2 to 3 strands looked almost fully compressed. In this one, there seems to be about 7 that are fully compressed and that is why I found it odd. If that is normal, such a spring design is very poor and I would not personaly use it. Any user of these springs out there? I am very curious to hear other opinions and experiences from other users.

............well that makes me feel a little better. Yes I did cut the bump stops too. I will still be contacting them to make sure I have the correct springs though. There isn't any sort of part number on these though so how would I know if I got the right ones?

Hi

I am also going to install megan racing lowering springs. Should i cut the bump stops like was posted in this thread?Or can i just leave them. What would be a better look and ride for my car. I have the stock OEM shocks
The drop is 2 inches, stiffness is great.Nothing like the OEM spring rate, that makes the car go jelly on the road.

I just did the install on the front suspension of the megan. This is how it was before

I've had these springs on my car for two summers of abuse. They work great. They are a little on the stiff side though. Spring looks normal in the pic.

The springs are exactly how they are supposed to be. The rear springs are a progressive design.Won't bottom out very easy. For 1G..they are 325 for the front and 250 rear.Eibach's are softer, which helps with the AWD launches, but could easily bottom out those with a good amount of rear traction at the strip.
