megan quality gotten better?

So i did some searching and didnt see anything recent im curious about megan headers i no they are cheap and they were ebay but they havent went on their own ive heard and that the quality is pretty good and fitment was great a friend of mine swaers by megan turbo back system said its perfect fit and quility is there and obviously is cheap too so has the quality of the headers also changed and gotten better im in the market soon for a t3 header with wg flange and wanna stay cheap as possible without sacrifice thanks in advance

The only Megan product I've ever used was the coil-overs. RRE were the ones who recommended them to me over Teins, so I guess they gotta be good

That BEP housing is really bulky and will not clear the block even with a 3/4"+ spacer. You may be able to get it to fit with some machining (milling at an angle) but I don't think the Turbonetics manifold is for you considering this combo.

Seriously? The Holset's compressor housing will hit the block miles before the BEP turbine housing does. How you can even begin to comment on the fitment issues of a turbine housing without knowing which manifold they'll be using is beyond me...

Don't waste your time on Megan headers. If you can't afford a quality, reputable T3 manifold, then go the bolt-on route.

Good as any other for the price. I've had them on the car for a few years now and can't complain. Adjusted a few times - easy enough. No problems to speak of.

1 vote for the ERL. That is one bad ass t3 mani. Only heard of one instance where the wg provision cracked. The infamous "Kelton Incident" haha

Seriously WES393 go read this thread in its entirety, which is something you should have done before you chimed in. My "comment" was CLEARLY in the context of fitment regarding the Turbonetics manifold. This is quite apparent from the discussion, post #12 on.

Additionally, the OP specified cost and quality as major criteria, hence why the Turbonetics manifold was brought up as a viable match, over other relatively expensive (albeit some better) T3 alternatives out there.

The issue of turbine housing clearance being the limiting factor when utilizing the Turbonetics manifold has been discussed so there is no need for you to speculate here.

This has to do with where the Turbonetics manifold places/angles the turbine housing and turbine housing shape (a factor) in conjunction with the contour of the engine block in that location.

But anyway ask me how I know the statement in my post, is true.

+1 on this. I had to make some emergency budget cuts on my build, when I found that I could no longer splurge for the jmf manifold like I had originally planed, I just turned around and bought a Bolt on BEP housing and used some black VHT high temperature spray paint and cleaned up my stock exhaust manifold.

When you save up some cash to buy a nice manifold from a reputable brand then you can turn around and sell your bolt on bep housing almost instantly. They sell extremely fast when listed in the classifieds (as long as you list it for a reasonable price).

Here is a picture of it test fitted to the manifold. It doesn't look too bad, and I believe there have been some 500-600+ hp setups with the hx40 on a bolt on bep housing (I think 500's for the hx35).
