Measuring rear (or forward) clutch pack clearances?

Hey everyone!

How are you guys measuring clearances for the rear clutch pack/stack? Service manual shows to use a feeler gauge, but the illustration doesn't show the rear drum being used, and I'm unable to fit feeler gauges between the snap ring and reaction plate with how the unit is oriented. I was thinking of either bending the tips to a 90 degree angle, or possibly cutting feeler gauges in half to try and fit, but seeing if anyone else has any tips/tricks.

I’d just bend a cheap set. They make wire style ones but they’ve usually got much less resolution than the traditional style cause they can’t fit 30 of them in one tool. I’ve only rebuilt a 4l60 which didn’t require bending them but that was my game plan.
