Still battling a P1300 CEL. Pinned to coils 3 (Black wire) and 1 (Red wire), the resistance is reading 0.002 ohms, the reading is the same when pinned to coil 2 (Red wire). Chilton indicates 0.70 - 0.86 ohms is the desired reading. The negative battery terminal was disconnected per instructions. I'm new to working with sensors and k ohm readings, :coy: .

It's been a while since I've tested the actual plug, so I can't comment there; but did you check the resistance inbetween the actual coils themselves? I know you have alligator clips, but try to shove the clip all the way back into coils 4&1 and 2&3 and measure the resistance in kohms. They should read about ~30k. This can also clue you into the condition of your coil pack.

You're on the wrong scale. You need to be on the lowest ohms scale (200 in your case) but with the inexpensive meters like yours they rarely can measure less than 1 ohm and will read 0. Also digital meters are always +/- 1 digit. I have a meter that can accurately measure to 0.01 ohms but it costs $100!
