Infinite primary coil resistance?

Saskatoon,
I just checked the resistances on my coil pack. The secondary resistances for terminal 1+2 and 3+4 are 14.6 kOhm and 15.4 kOhm respectively. I can't get my primary resistance to measure anything other than infinite though. I tried terminals 3+2, 3+1, 4+1, 4+2 and they all measure infinite.

Considering that the car is perfectly drivable, but kind of rough (bucking at low speeds when going on/off gas, very slow spool-up, lack of power), is it possible for the primary resistance to be infinite and for the car to still run decent? Am I just measuring the resistances wrong? I really tried to make sure the DMM probes contact the coils. I didn't have much trouble with that with the secondary resistance measurements.

The primaries are on a 3 pin connector. You should get 0.77-0.95 ohms between pins 3 & 2 and also between pins 3 & 1. Note that correct resistance doesn't guarantee the coil isn't weak. You should remove the plugs 1 at a time, keep connected and ground plug case against engine metal, and then crank over and check if spark is weak or strong to test for weak coil (and/or bad plugs/wires).
