Me vs. Wastegate actuator

Sorry to ask this, but how do I get the stock t-25 wastegate actuator off... I see the 2 bolts up beside the spring housing. But how do I get the rod off at the other end?.... I'm sure this is a stupid question, but we all have stupid questions along the way. Thanks.
 
It's called a cotter pin, it's a peice of metal folded over. You slide it through a hole, then grab one of the arms of it and pull it back so that the pin can't come out of the hole.

To take it off you could either just cut it with wire clippers or tin snips, or you could take pliers and bend the arm back straight, and pull it out.
