Now, i know that ebc's cost an arm and a leg, but i dont want to have to go under the hood every time i wanna adjust boost levels. Is there some sort of simple switch or something that i can put inside my car to set boost levels? i know i can buy an safc but thats even more $ outta my pocket.which would you recommend? i dont see that many tuners with ebc's either, so i dunno.

get a hallman evolution MBC with the incar lead. You can adjust the boost levels while u sit on your booty

I reccommend a $5 Home Depot special. Maybe it's just me, but I see no real need to adjust boost from inside the car.

agreed. I paid 10 bucks for mine and it works like a charm. although I've never heard anything bad about joep or hallman's either, although that would require you getting of your lazy ass and adjusting it :p

say if i pulled up to a stang or sumthing while im just driving to the stoor and he wants to race, and im on low boost. then im shit-outta-luck!

does neone have any pics of the in-cockpit adjustability for the mbc? any kind (hallman, home depot style, etc.) i searched the gallery, but nothing.

simple put , if you have the money and the will then just get the ebc. Its funny how people always tend to answer their own questions. You say that you dont want to get out all the time and adjust so then just get what you want ebc

i think im just going to get the hallman mbc so i can set boost levels inside my car. An ebc would be so expensive, extremely complicated, and a PITA to install since im not into all that electronics and shit

So then why run "low boost" at all?

If i run at higher boost levels all the time, i dont want to put extra pressure on my turbo or anything and damage it.

Again, I see no real point to it. If you're going to run it at high boost, do so. It isn't going to hurt anything, because you're not constantly building the "high boost" setting; only when you're foot becomes lead.

i agree, unless you floor it everywhere you should have no problem leaving it high.

I am on the stock 8-10(according to the stock gauge  ) And i only boost like 4 most of the time, because i don't floor it

You can buy an MBC with two settings that you can switch from inside the car. You just have to adjust the settings under the hood once, then switch back and forth inside. This setup has the best of both worlds, I think, because it is cheap and switchable.

what if someone iknow really needs to use my car, or i give it to a valet or something, i dont want them going crazy with my car,so i could just set it lower.

Well, someone you know wouldn't beat the crap out of your car (or they shouldn't, at least) and I would never give my car to a valet anyways.

Even so, come on, it's one simple turn of a bolt under your hood. It takes 5 seconds, and you can do it before you give the car to a "friend" or the valet.

I know, i was just using a hypothetical question. But i can be picky about the stupidest little things. And you say that it is so easy, then how come so many people wast their money on ebc's :p

I have absolutely no idea as to why anyone would run a EBC, but hey, each is entitled to buy what they want; it's their money. I just see all that money being spent elsewhere on my car.
