max power out of a small 16g

guys i really need the info on this so i don't look like an idiot anymore. a buddy of mine has a talon with a ported small 16g on it and what not. he thinks he has like 320hp and i'm fairly sure he means at the wheels. what is the max hp a dsm can put out on a small 16g with supporting mods. on pump gas and race gas. cause i know he's thinking he's gonna have close to 400hp cause he just added on a 1g head, 1g tb and 1g cams.

I have no clue what the max hp potential of the car is. It is completely possible to make 300-320 to the wheels though with a small 16G. I made 300 on pump gas and 20psi 5 or so years ago.

Small 16gs are underrated... people run low 12s (probably some who are faster too) on those turbos. I still wouldn't believe him if he says he has 320hp though, did he dyno it or just 'add up' the hp gains from all of his mods?
That's like saying I bought an Injen intake for my stock 2g and I now have 225hp since it has 210hp stock and they add 15. First off, our cars are getting old, they're not going to have the stock hp they did when they rolled off the assembly line.

i think he's just guessing at his hp based on his mods. he hasn't dynoed it yet..nor do i know if he will. it wasn't in the 12's when he first put on the 16g mainly cause he had a slipping clutch. and the only car i saw him race was a supercharged saleen s281. and his clutch cost him the race.

A local kid made 340awhp on his small 16g w/ race gas, its cammed w/ supporting mods and tuned rather well... i think 400hp is quite a stretch without running RAGGED edge said mods if its even possible.
