Max horsepower from a ported small 16g?

Hey guys. Right now I am running my 2g on a 14b turbo. My friend is selling his 1st gen though, and we are going to do a turbo swap so I can upgrade to his small ported 16g.

I was just wondering how much horsepower a PORTED small 16g is good for.

I know that on the stealth 316 site it says that the small 16g flows at 520cfm, producing 275-300hp if I remember correctly.

So If I were to install this ported 16g, and port the O2 housing/exhaust mani...how much power is this turbo capable of?

You answered your own question. Porting is going to affect spool up time but won't change the CFM enough to make it make more than 5-10 max hp if that. It's all about the wheels. They can only move so much air.
