ok so i put my safc on and go out for a spin i turn all the rpm settings to about +5%.1st gear i dont get full 16psi till like the top around 4500-4800.2nd gear and on its the same thing.is this lag that im experiencing??cause when its at full spool the car pulls very hard.just takes a lil while to get there.is there anything i can get to increase spool speed??im getting a fmic soon for colder effiecent air i know my big16g produces alot of hot air with the stock smic:(

I'd do a boost leak test as well as make sure there are no pre-turbo exhaust leaks. You need to go WOT in third at like 2k rpm and let us know the results

i had a boost leak on the top coupler the pipe was a little loose now im getting boost around 3500 in 2nd.and third.still seems a little laggy though..i hear big16gs are laggy anyways???

Compared to the 14b, yes there will be increased lag. A good tune can help with spoolup as well. Is there any exhaust leaks at manifold or collector? 3500rpm is a good start, but you can shave some off it still for sure.

I defintely wouldn't zero out the afc on the stock injectors. If you were running bigger injectors that'd be fine. That is quite possibly the worst advice ever :(

It's a hell of a lot less dangerous to remove fuel then to go in blind and run lean.

You need a wideband and a logger is your friend. Personally I'd back off the extra boost until you have something to tune off of.

at 16 PSI on a 16G he's more than likely (or already) maxed out the stock injectors anyway. I maxed mine out on a 14b at 15 PSI at 5000rpm. anything above that i knocked almost to max some 660cc and a 255 pump fixed my problem.

If you don't have a logger GET ONE NOW. the 16G will max out your injectors and it will knock. it will run just fine too with 25+ counts of knock. till something lets go. my car was running strong as hell till i hooked up the logger and found out what was really going on. you can run it as is and hope its fine except for the lag (it may be just fine and not knocking but the odds of that are pretty slim) but i would not take a chance considering how much work it is to do engine work on these things. and if you don't do your own work, mechanics want your 1st born. i would just turb the boost down till the propper fuel mods and a way to monitor the car.

ive decided to sell my safc and go with the jackal tuning..im getting a fmic first..i have a data logger cable i just bought last week but i dont know what other cable i need to hook up the serial port to my laptop???..and i tried downloadinng mmcd but the only thing is i cant open bin files so for some reason its not woking..i been running at 16psi for about 2 months now.i am knocking a little at the top of 3rd and 4th.im missing two studs off my head so it may be leaking a little from there to??

i have a 190 denso pump out of an evo 8 so all i need now is the 550cc injectors.so i can start buying the stuff i will need for jackal
