45psiWTF I did not even think that was possible. The highest I have had mine was 33psi and it did not like it very much. 29-30psi it seems pretty happy at. I would be interested in a log at 45psi on a 16g did not think it was possible.

, yea it does on a 16g!! He has no wastegate and the flapper welded shut. Along with a lot of porting. It spikes real high but since it does it holds high boost levels for longer periods.

If I spike my 16g to 32-34psi it will fall to about 26psi by 7krpm. If I spike it to around 28psi it will fall to 22psi by redline.

You won't get away with that with a minor cam upgrade. And you'll still flow more air with the cam upgrade

I'm running 22psi on the stock 7-bolt head studs and gasket. At that boost pressure, on the stock SMIC, I'm hitting about 34lbs/min at 7k with no knock. It's been this way for about 2 years and I haven't had any problems. With your situation, your limitation is going to be your 550cc injectors. At an IDC of 80%, assuming a SG of 0.76 for 93 octane fuel, AFR of 11:1, you'll be able to support about 31.5lbs/min. At an IDC of 100%, which I don't recommend and the same assumptions, you can support 39.5lbs/min of airflow.

If you shoot for a max IDC of 80%, assuming a similar flow as my setup, you will hit the 80% IDC before you reach the limit of the head studs. Keep in mind, if your tune sucks, you could very easily lift the head or trash the HG.

As for the SAFC, can you post a 3rd gear pull from 2.5k to redline, logging knock, IDC, TPS and RPM? Also, post up all your SAFC settings, such as TPS trigger points, Ne Points and corresponding correction factors, etc. -18% is the mathematical baseline to hit the 2.1g/rev target AFR of 9.5:1, so you are running rich. We can probably lean that out a little.

...I'd love to as soon as I fix my current problem...You should come out and show me how to tune with the afc I def. pay you I need hands on experience. I'm not good at reading and then doing I need to see someone do it and you're only 1hr 20min away.

Like others pointed out, its all about the cylinder pressure.
The boost alone doesnt equate to any specific cylinder pressure, its all a combination of how much boost, timing, knock etc.... But basically knock can make things ugly real fast especially when your nearing the limits. With just a SAFC for tuning, you MAY need really good octane and/ or meth injection to get 20psi with the kind of timing you will be getting if you install larger injectors. (I.e. 650s)

Yea I'm going to go with 850s with a key driver chip. But my turbo I just installed is blown so Im really pissed. Well gota buy another. BY 16g hello 50 trim..
