Ok, before you guys say search, Im going on so many hours on searching. Long story short, I was at the drive thru and listening to my car as i always do. I had it in neutral, and let off the clutch and heard a slight little grind, pushed my clutch in sound went away. I did this atleast 4 times, sound would go away when pressed in. Now my food came and put it in first, drove off and went to put it into second and it was hard as hell to, and started to get harder to shift.

I managed to get it home, noticed my slave was leaking bad. I changed that out, and noticed my master was leaking ever so lightly under the dash, out from the rod. Now my question is this,Does a small leak like that,no drips but little fluid, cause issues like this? my master wont be here until tuesday. I also notice that the rod for the master was turned out almost all the way, maybe two threads holding it. It would always engage about an inch or so off the floor(which i love!)

So i guess not too short of a story, I know i didn't bleed it correctly after installation of the slave, but i just decided to look under the dash and found that out.

Before that night it had issues shifting into 3rd over 2k rpms. Im going out later to recheck the tranny bolts just for a piece of mind.

So main question is does a minimal amount of fluid from the master cylinder cause any issues? Thanks. :hellyeah:

Ok so im assuming i should get stressed out too much about this until i correctly install the master cylinder and get it bleed correctly. I just want to drive my car and not my exes( 05 eclipse). Ok i guess i will be posting about this tuesday after i do what needs to be done. Its just weird, Ive had the master go out to where the clutch goes to the floor but not the opposite. God i love dsms:rocks:

Just like the brakes, you need to remove ALL air from the lines.

I understand that. But ive never had to bleed brakes before. Ive done brakes numerous times but Ive always put on clamps on the pistons.worked just fine. Part should be here tomorro.Going out today when it cools down to pull the master.

Thanks again fellas for the info.:thumb

*UPDATE 1*

So, I got the Master today, put it on after work. The hardest part was getting the cotter pin in the little hole. Anyway, I bleed and bleed, and bleed some more, Clutch feels like it should. Now heres the thing, Im still getting a light grind in gear with the clutch in, and also a little in neutral.

I might be low on trans axle fluid due to changing out my driver side axle, Ever since i got the car it had a little scratchiness on start up unless i put the clutch in. after it warmed up it went away. I will be adding more syncromesh... yea ive heard the pros and cons.

Anyway, does this sound like its bled correctly but not adjusted right? or does it sound like I am low on trans axle fluid? and not adjusted right. Thanks

*UPDATE 2 FINAL*

Ok i sent it out to a shop, the verdict is, A missing spring in the clutch plate, Actually looked like an act clutch setup. Any way they redid the clutch, tob( told them to make sure it was oem) and the guy working on it said he worked on dsm's before, and just dd a clutch on his friends 1g eclipse a week before. Its a beast to engage fully. I have to find out exactly what clutch set they put in. I'm also thinking my master cylinder rod is just a tit shorter the the other one. Is that possible?? I did get it off of ebay so. I adjusted the rod almost all the way out. Im thinking just a couple threads more would be where it should be. Clutch fork looks to where it should be and i can press the slave in with my hand. Thanks again!!! Still don't know how to mark as resolved:(
