Is it okay to have the master cylinder rod adjusted all the way out?

I have a new tranny, new act 2600, stainless steel clutch line, new mitsubishi master and slave, slave extension rod...

After everything was in, I bled the lines with the master cylinder rod half way, and didnt get any pressure....after adjusting the rod all the way out to the tip, i received normal pressure....the car goes into gear fine and drives normal...

thanx for any help..

doesnt sound right at all.

When my 1992 esi was clutch worn all the heck, i adjusted the rod all the way, so it would still work when i traded it off. (hehehe) but it had a wierd feel to it.

if you had to adjust it out on a New setup, with everything New, then that tells me someting is amiss.

im no tranny man but it just doesnt sound right. i wouldnt think it could be a Leak in the system because it would eventually lose the pressure you feel now.

perhaps some of the tranny wisedudes will have some ideas.
but again, im not expert on it, could be completley normal, but id atlest get some input from them.
