Massive electrical problems, no ign, no tails, etc.

So I picked up my car (95 TSi AWD) after being repainted and having 97-99 Eclipse front and 95-96 Eclipse rear/tails installed. Immediately I had major electrical problems with it. The painter said it was working fine before when he drove it to the detail shop to wetsand/buff it. Yet when I came to get it, these were the problems:

What DIDN'T work:

-No bumper lights
-No turn signals
-No tail lights
-No ignition when key is turned (not even a click)
-No gauge lights, HVAC lights, hazards inoperable.
-No reverse lights

What DID work:

-Head unit
-Heater/blower
-Rear defroster
-Wipers (front/rear)
-TURBO TIMER (kinda eliminated my thought of the ign switch, PLUS it kept the car on AFTER the key was out still ????)
-Dome lights
-Head lights/hi-beams
-ALL brake lights

Then, we decided to pop-start the car since the ignition wasn't working. The car ran perfectly fine, except then I had:

-Left blinker ONLY
-Left brake light ONLY (and spoiler LED brake lights)
-NO bumper lights
-Right blinker switched on made ALL illuminated lights flicker.

We checked:
-ALL fuses and relays
I did notice that when the parking lights were switched on that there was a loud clicking coming from a relay, but couldn't pinpoint an exact one.

I don't get it. Did this guy totally jack up wiring to the Talon to Eclipse taillight conversion? Someone help. I'm insanely frustrated.

apparently you have a short.. you need to check any wireing they messed with chance's are they didnt wire the back up light's or brake lights correctly.. you checked both in car and underhood fuse's? also you checked the large under hood fuse's, really none of those systems should me messing w/ the ignition check the 100amp alt fuse as well.. rip the rear bumper off and start looking for error's, or.. take it to a mechanic and make the paint shop pay..

I'm wondering if one of your turbo timer wires is shorting/disconnected. If not, I'm with jott5555, short - fuse, relay or bad wiring.

You were both right...I checked all that today before getting on here.

Harness to the ign from the TT was loose. Easy fix. The lights however...

After 10 hours of test lights, ohm meters, fuses, oh my, I found the short in the right taillight. When they installed the Eclipse tails, they smashed the harness and it grounded to the chassis.

But even better: Had the car on the road 10 minutes, and blew a LICP. I called a friend and got a jack and the deep socket and I fixed it in about 30 mins. I pull outta the parking lot, and magically a power washer had fallen out of a truck. I hit it cause the car behind me was tailgating me. So I ####ed up my brand new front bumper/CF lip/paint. Woo hoo, great day

I'll make another thread in the hangout so you can see how great it looked for 12 hours.
