WTF?
When was the last time you cracked open your ecu and checked the caps? I have had a few that did similar things. i replaced all of what i assumed was wrong. Ran good for a few days
'YAAAAY then
they would act up again. I said screw it gloved up and took out the ecu on them cracked it open then looked right to where the caps are and
roasted toasted and melted into a puddle of silicone cud. I had that happen twice and the one other time I had to clean the connections because they were covered in 16 years of crap. I have also had the vortex go bad but and produce similar issues. If you crack the ecu open and it looks fine buy a new/used vortex and see if that corrects the issue. You can locate the area where the caps are in the FAQ or by using the search tool above you. If you dont already know and stuff, I can only assume you do not check your ecu often .
nope bought the car like 6months ago
thats one of the first things I want to see before I buy a dsm, I don't care if the owner likes it or not I AM taking the ecu out and looking at it.
Thats never a good time.Unless it breaks in front of a strip club thats next door to a good shop.
