For the 1g owners, what's the benefits to changing the 1g MAF? If changing it, then what's the best option? Thanks.

The beneifit is you get more air into your engine which can make more power (more power if you have a way to tune your fuel to match the extra air)
There are many options for you to go with. First of is a 2G maf, or you can do a 3g maf(some 3g maf's are better than others), both of these you will need to buy or make a conversion harness. Another route is to go with a GM maf. For this you will need to buy a maf translator (maf-t). This change to a blow through setup, It measures air after it has been compressed. You can also can go with a speed density setup, and not use a maf at all.

It looks like you are new and currently would be best off with a 2G maf, it is cheap, rather easy and it is a good performance gain. to learn more about each setup do a search on them. Just read until your eye's can't take it. It's the best way to learn.

Thanks for the info. I'm new to the forum, but not really to DSM's. Back in the day, I heard about 2g MAFs but now they got the GM MAF.
