mas unplugged

well I had my mas unplugged for a while because I forgot to plug it back in. It wasn't for vary long (only like five minutes) but while it was out it was floored at 15 psi once. I tell you it still pulls about the same but the idle isn't steady which is how I figured it out. Well it shot black smoke out inbetween shifts. My friend saw that. Well, did I brake anything? It still runs fine and hard so I don't think so. On a different note a while back there was a post that said somebody told him that if he unplugged his mas it would give him more hp. well it might not give you more hp but it will still pull strong.

Your fine, when i first got my car running I didnt have a maf and ran it like that for about an hour, i got a cel and rough idle, but all is well now that things are in correctly.

what does it use to tell how much fuel to inject? The o2 sensor readings?

Since the maf was unhooked, it prolly ran on default settings, but i dunno, just a guess.
