So I bought the car like this and am trying to remove the MAF altogether as I want to get better fitment of the intake, but a few questions arise when I looked further into this car. The MAP sensor is wired into the MAF, why would this be setup this way? And How do I eliminate this? Will be uploading photos of what is going on.

Ya that's normal, I used the ecmlink GM maf adapter for my map, and iat sensor.so basically same thing. I don't know enough a out them and I don't want to give you mis information. Everything you looking for can be found ecmlink page

SD will not be affected by boost leaks if they are before your IAT and MAP sensors.

For a MAF setup boost leaks after the MAF will result in a less than ideal AFR, which may may lead to running rich in WOT, rough idea etc. You can make more power on SD in certain scenarios because it can be more accurate than MAF and you can remove restrictions in the intake (MAF honeycomb). You can also vent to atmosphere in a SD setup.

There are different ways to wire the sensors. It sounds like your MAP sensor was spliced into your MAF harness. +1 check the ECMtuning website, they do a good job of explaining everything. If you don't find your answers here you can email them as well. They are generally very helpful.
