Manual transmission fluid

Hey guys, I have a 95 Talon Turbo with the 5 spd. Recently I've noticed that getting into reverse is a bit of a pain without grinding, what normally helps is to go to any gear first then switch to reverse. The car currently has 197K on it and I was just wondering a fluid change can't hurt and what fluid should I use, I'm hoping this will help the reverse problems. Thanks.

Redline MT90 gear oil.

Sounds like your reverse synchro has seen better days, you can replace it with the tranny in the car. When you drain the tranny fluid just pull the cover off the tranny and you will see the synchro on top of a 5th gear. You can order one from a dealer, I think they are about $35 dollars or so. When you put the cover back on make sure you clean up both surfaces of oil and use some grey rtv silicon. As for tranny fluid I use 2 bottles of redline MT90 mixed with one bottle of redline shockproof heavy weight, 3 qts total. You can put 3 qts in if you pour it through the revere light switch on top of the tranny.

Sorry to jump in on your thread, i just figured it would b better than making a new one.
I have a 96' eclipse 5 speed non-turbo, im putting in a new transmission but i cant seem to find a straight answer on what kind of transmission fluid and the capacity. Would yall still recommend the redline mt90? Or would there be a different transmission fluid yall would recommend since i have a different tranny?
