How are you all keeping the shifter cable clip from popping loose? Help!
I planned to drill a hole in the bracket where they clip around the cable on the transmission and then put a cotter pin on it...

Are they new or used? Usually when they're fairly fresh they don't come loose. If they're used they've probably lost their spring, buy new ones.
Yup. Funny story... The one that was old popped out and the new one stayed in! Good thing about the car is that I made it home because I had gears 1, 3 and 5.
