could u guys help me on how many ticks i should keep it ? and what is the way to know how to adjust it to how many ticks?
thank u guys
oh btw my car is a 1995 gst eclipse
has intercooler bov and gredy boost controller ( those mods only i guess)
thank u for ur help :D

bro im new to this community i know nothing at all, its my first car so please help me out

oh btw at the moment its on 12 ticks exactly

Do you have a boost gauge? The ticks don't matter, the boost pressure does. You shouldn't run higher than 15 psi on the stock turbo and fuel system.

but how can i know its on 15 psi ? i dont get it how can i adjust it to 15 psi

Welcome to the site. Here we go:

  • @Nathan1993 is correct in that the boost controller only allows you to raise boost above spring pressure (at waste gate). So, turning the boost controller all the down will be 9-12 psi depending on the car. Knowing what pressure is a simple as looking at your boost gauge.
  • The stock fuel system can handle about 15 psi max. I would HIGHLY recommend at least rewiring the fuel pump. This kit is available at many supporting vendors on this site.
  • Before deciding to go above stock boost pressure, I would couple your boost gauge with a wide band to monitor AFR's as well. For new owners, your next best investment really would be something ECMLink. Most will recommend it for tuning purposes, but it is also great as a data logger and for trouble shooting issues as well.
  • All of the above assumes you are taking care of routine maintenance items on your new ride as this should be priority one to really get to get the most enjoyment out of ownership.

You should be reading the boost pressure with a decent aftermarket boost gauge, you turn the knob in the boost+ direction, (be cautious not to over boost with it, only turn a click to a couple at a time) then drive and see what your boost gauge reads when driving. I have never used the greddy and somebody correct me if i am wrong but 12 clicks seems a bit excessive. I have a turbo smart MBC on a stock t25 and I only turned it 2 clicks for 14 psi.

but i still dont get it , where can i read how many psi i have?(sorry if its a stupid question ima noob)
so basically i minus the tick 1 time and drive and see where my boost gauge is exactly at and thats hw many psi i have? i didnt get it please help me out i dont want to blow my engine ... its on 15 ticks at the moment :((((((((((((

The boost gauge will tell you how much boost you are running. The controller allows you to hold pressure before the waste gate kicks. With the controller at the lowest setting the car will act normal. Slowly turning up the controller you won't see any difference untill the controller holds back more than the waste gate does. This is where watching the boost gauge comes in.

If you truly don't want to damage your car, I would at this point remove the boost controller or turn it all the down and not touch it until:
  • I more carefully read through the advice given.
  • Verified the boost gauge is installed correctly and how to read it.
  • Verified the boost controller is installed correctly and how to use it.
We have all been novice learners at some point. Please take more time to research what you are doing before doing it. Being clear and thorough will go a long way in receiving help. Your car will thank you in the end.

alright i read about it , it said if i turn the controller clockwise , it will result in more boost.... turn it anti clockwise, less boost... so prev owner of car told me from his experience that its safe to do 15 :D
