Hi,
Are the exhaust manifold bolts the same size has the intake man bolts? The reason I ask is, I just got my rebuilt head and it has neither. I know where to order the Exhaust bolts but I havent seen any intake bolts.

Oh, yeah, 1G head

According to www.ssstuds.com there are two M10 studs on the end and the other ones are M8's. If you have the head off of a late 1G head then the studs are the same thing, you will have 10's on the outside and 8's in the midddle. If you have an early 1G head then you will have 8's all the way accross.

The website mentioned above sells all the studs that you need for a decent price.

The thread pitch is 1.25, if you didn't know. So when you go to buy them you will want the 2 studs that will be M10X1.25 then M8X1.25

Thanks, forgot to add that in there. :thumb:

I have a 90 gsx, and i have bought the early 1g bolt kit, but i recently bought a 2g manifold, and i noticed that the outside holes on the mani are bigger then the inside ones, is it ok to run it with the difference. thanks

Yeah, it's fine. The washers that you got with the kit should compensate for the hole.

Thanks for the replys I went ahead and ordered new ones from ssstuds.com.

Also, is it crucial to replace the head studs, or could I get away with reusing them?

On the exhaust side you don't want to reuse them. The ones that aren't broken now or break taking the old manifold off usually like to break as your tightening them down on the new manifold.
