Making the engine last!!

hey dudes. i just want to know if there is any way to make ur engine last longer if u start putting mods on. im prolly going to be getting like a 97 GS-t and its my first car so i kind of want it to last. if u guys can tell me what some things i can do to make it last longer that would be very helpful. i know some basci stuff like not flooring it all the time or nutral drop or brake torques. all that crap i already know about but just some general things becuase im pretty new to the dsm area.

eh... its really just like most performance cars. keep up with regular maintenance, change oil religiously, check vacuum lines, hoses, belt, etc etc etc a lot. i pop the hood on my car every day to check everything out. nothin in particular to do, just take care of her, and she'll take care of you! good luck with the car
