Can anyone elaborate on how to outline the car? It say's to use the pen tool to outline the car but as i outline it starts to make a diagnal black line from the first point to the last point and going over it with the brush took doesnt come out as a straight line it's all crooked and stufff and could someone also tell me how to lighten the image first like it says in the first step? I mean i know how to use photoshop somewhat but it just isnt working for me. Help me! When im done after i figure it out ill post my result's!

about this, if you have photoshop, then you should atleast know how to lighten it LOL. Pretty much there should be some way to tell it to adjust brightness/contrast and you can adjust if from there and also adjust the levels and tell it what is white and what is black. About drawing it, this is what I did. Make a 2 new clear layers, fill the layer between the car and the blank one completely white and turn it off to start with, next you look at the car layer through the clear one and start drawing with the pen and when you want to see your progress, just turn the white layer on and see it. With the pen tool, just zoom in a lot and work slowly to get the hang of it and then it will get easier, just takes time. If you need additional help, feel free to pm me. ;)

I would like to use somes design for some new shirts I am working on.

Lets see your best. I would like a 1G and a 2G... The more the better.

if I use your design I will send you a FREE t-shirt.

You want a wire outline, or a fully-colored one... and is there a separate thread for this?

Another wire frame..

^^^ very nice :thumb: :thumb:

i was just curious, you guys that are doing it so well, are you just drawing over it with the pen tool on a clear layer or what. no matter what i do it still doesent look as sharp and clean as some others. just wondering what are yalls techniques with the tracing?

no really, i just tried it and it looks like a damn 3rd grader did it :(. I used the brush tool, because the line tool looked worse, and the pen tool kept filling in my car with whatever color was selected...i just got the photoshop 7 today and  i suck

damn you guys are good! mines is so crappy compared to yours:
