We're going to change up the DSMtuners member-funded community pot a little bit. Going forward, we will collect donations from our members here and send it off to the Shootout organizers just before the event so that we can show our support for the event. 100% of the donations received will be forwarded to the event (minus any Paypal fees, though we are sending the donation via Friends and Family).

Couldn't you just donate directly to the Shootout? Sure you could. But donating to this pot helps bring recognition to our website at the event. It shows all the attending DSMers that DSMtuners plays an important role in the DSM world. It's a way of helping the event, and showing your support for the forum at the same time. Win, win.

Last year we donated just over $500. Our goal next year is to raise enough money to sponsor a class at the event. If not, we can always just get our name on the check like we did last year.

Oh yes this is great especially for the platform can we add more funds as time goes on or is it a one time thing. Since we have a entire year to prepare it. Is there a amount for a class or its it specific to the event . Or are we foucusing on any event , either way its a good way to get the ball rolling

I'm thinking we stick with the Street Eliminator class, since that's probably the best fit. But we can always change it later if we want.
