I took defiants advice on gettting the 46 dollar b&m clone on Ebay. I looked at each kit and everything looked the same and came with the same hardware. I used the instructions for the b&m shifter i found online, and the install took me only 20 minutes. The only thing i didnt do was apply loctite. That was a big mistake, LOL. After installing it and going through each gear fine, i had almost a full night of driving. When coming home from my girlfriends house i noticed that the shifter had more play than when first installed. Figured it was just setting in, whatever. When i was comming home, shifting 2nd to 3rd, my car goes into neutral, shifter is in hand, and i can rotat it in a full circle. The bottom shifter bolt that has the secures with an e-clip slid out and the shifter was not connected at all. I had to call my mom to pick me up about 3 miles away from home cause i had no tools to fix it. The next day after work I got some loctite, got tools, and installed the thing again WITH loctite. The thing shifts like a champ and i would recommend saving 100 bucks and going with the ebay clone. The only thing that bugs me is that its harder to shift (which is normal).

Long story short, use your loctite when installing your short shifter so you dont break down in the street at 1:00 AM while its 20 degrees and raining. Then having to call your mom to pick you up. :p

if it was 20 degrees out, wouldn't it be snowing not raining?? :p

You should do a review on this ebay shifter. I was very apprehensive about getting one. But now I think I might just pick one up ;) Thanks!

I love that there is now an alternative to the 160$ B&M unit. Wish it had come out earlier I've bought two of the 160$ B&M shifters, ouch!
