Hi this is my first time posting. I am the original owner of a 91 eclipse turbo GS. It has 50k miles and is otherwise in mint condition. Around last year, it started stalling, it seemed like water in the gas. I had the tank drained and it was ok for a while. Then the check engine light came on. The code it gave was an oxygen sensor and something else i forgot. Then, it started idiling very rough, the entire car would shake. I pulled the plugs and saw that two of the spark plug wells were full of water, not antifreeze. That explained the rough idle, as only two of the cylinders were firing(the ones without the water). Also, they havnt filled back up since. Soon after, it wouldnt idle, the rpm's would just drop to zero. However, this would only happen once the car was heated up. Now, it wont idle at all. It blows what looks like white steam, not smoke. There is a constant stream of water from the exhaust. I stopped driving it, but right before i did it would eat oil like crazy. There is oil in the antifreeze now. All these problems are the symptoms of a blown head gasket right?? Before i rip the engine apart and replace it, does anyone else have any suggestions? Could it be something completely different? And why did the gasket go this soon? its only got 50k miles and was never driven that hard. Also, does anyone have any tips or how-to's for replacing a gasket on this particular car? Any help would be great, as this is my baby and i want to get it fixed. Last...is there any mods i can do that would be easy-acces while the head is off?
