I recently purchased a ’97 GS-T with 63,000 miles. I want to start doing modifications to my car, but I want to make sure I didn’t over look anything in the maintenance department. So far I have purchased:

Complete Timing Belt Kit from Dsmotorsport
Helm Service Manual
Front Brakes and Rotors
Spark Plugs and Wires
Fuel Filter
PCV Valve
New Valve Cover Gasket
New Oil Cap

Is there anything else I need to do before I start modifying my car?

Thanks John :dsm:

Run a compression test to make sure you're good on that end. Do a tranmission flush and you'll be good to go. Don't forget. The first upgrade you need to do is a Boost Gauge . Welcome to the painful world of modifications. :thumb:

A fresh oil change couldn't hurt any.

Forgot to add, go through autometer for a boost gauge, get one that does vacuum and boost.

Mind if I ask how much you picked it up for? The ones I found when searching with under 70k miles were always at least 10. Good luck with the Eclipse. I just got a TSi AWD, so good luck to both of us keeping these things on the road.

I saw the car on autotrader or cars.com. It was like 100miles away, but it was worth it. I wanted black interior, but i turned out to like the tan and maroon. I got a good deal on it..6k :thumb:
