maintaining carbonfiber

so i bought a carbonfiber hood from one of my friend for cheap and i wasnt in the best condition but after a waxing it for like 3 hours i came out very nice if i do say so myself but now the problem is that atfer having it on the car for a while it seems to be fogging i i tried waxing it again but the foggy haze is still there can anyone help me with this problem thanks you guys

Is there any cracks or spiderwebbing in the hood? If not your in the clear.

As far as getting rid of the foggyness your gonna need to wetsand / buff it out. I've seen it done at my school. But i don't know the actual process, i.e where to start / end on the grit sand paper.

there are some small cracks but that is not my main concern because like i said it looks really nice when it gets waxed and you cant even tell

i have a question on this. i have a carbon fiber hood as well and it will get a white haze on it. I can wax it and it looks good for a day or so but then goes right back. There are no crack or spider webs or anything. just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what process they used to fix the problem.

Sounds like the clear coat may have come off.

Try using ScratchX or Scratch Out and buff it out... If it comes out and clear, which it should, re clear coat it.

how hard is it to re clear it? What all is involved with it? I am pretty handy and can do quite a bit myself but i would like to it to be done right as well.
