I was wondering what you guys thought about a Magnus intake manifold on a FP18G6SL2 setup with BC 272's? Is it worth a big power increase on this turbo at say 25-28psi?
Thanks for any help

Its a great midrange manifold. I ran it at one point and my cousin is currently running it on his sleeper 18g setup. You will definitely notice the gains up top, especially paired with the hks 272s although I'd recomend the FP2s considering their slightly better power curve/topend.

BC 272's paired with a magnus SMIM.... (personally I think this is funny) but to the OP, you'd probably see more of a gain by having your stock 1g intake manifold extrude honed with that 18g wheel.

Thats an odd statement to make. There of course is a difference between a standard 18g and the FP18G6SL2.

The top end that the FP18 is capable of is beyond the typical Td05/sleeper 18g and a few others on the market. It can greatly benefit not only from larger cams but from an aftermarket manifold.

The BC272s aren't the best cams but being as mild as they are definitely wouldn't sacrafice anything down low.

At the end of the day your ultimate power goals will take into play. For romping around on the street a honed stock manifold would be fine but to stretch the turbo for everything it has uptop and on a track the aftermarket manifold is the way to go.

On my TD04 B V trim, not too much larger I had a near 50awhp/awtq gain from simply adding my FP2s. With the FP18G6SL2being a turbo capable of over 600cfm there is no doubt the gains you'd have by opening it up a bit more an dletting it breathe a little at the top. Bolt everything up, turn it to 25-30psi and let it rip.

Thanks for the all the input guys. The only reason I ask is because I am currently waiting for fp18g to come in. As you can tell by my profile, I have a sc6152 t3 setup, but that has to go now because of the smog monopoly. I have the magnus and cams on there, I can pass with the cams, but I have to think of a way to hook an egr up to my magnus... I don't really want to, but that is the only way to pass visual...
Thanks again
