MAGNUS Intake manifold should I use it?

Well my motor is going to be dropped back in as we speak, and I came up on a pretty good deal on a SMIM but im still on the EVOIII. Im getting it from a good freind and im limited on funds so im going to see if he will let me pay him back.


I dont think its that bad of a idea, my freind had a T25 on his SR20 and ran a Greddy intake manifold and it pulled hard and put down impressive times.

Im going to be getting a larger turbo in the future so im think might as well put it on now since everything will be apart.


Suggestions?

I say you might as well put it on now when everythings apart.

Go for it. It will let you max out the little turbo on lower boost

There is only one problem, he now has a AMS VSR and a 6Bolt swap.


Its a 2G intake manifold, im pretty sure there may be some fit ment issues.

A 2G manifold has ports sized to a 2G head which are alot smaller than a 1G head, so yes they wouldn't line up.

Could you port match it to a 1G head?

With enough porting you could match them up, but Im not sure on the integrity of the manifold after this. So I guess he is using the SMIM, so you wont be getting it? Thats too bad, it would be great for you, and it would only get better with a bigger turbo, like a BB 50trim, FP Green, Red, ect...

This one is just sitting, Im going ot call magnus up and find out if this is ok to do.

You could port the flange to match but the runners would still be smaller to meet up with the 2G port size...
